The general public is several generations removed from the farm and is willing to pay for a fun, entertaining educational experience. An agritourism enterprise is a good way to add value to the farm, as well as utilize many talents of a farming family not normally associated with the operation of a farm.

Tourists are not the only participants in Agritourism; local schools can schedule field trips to a farm with a pumpkin patch. This opportunity to experience real growing pumpkins enhances a schools curriculum and provides a wonderful learning experience for our children. Farmers can add value to their communities as well as to their businesses.
