TEAM SANTA ROSA PARTNERS WITH LOCAL POWER HOUSES TO ATTRACT ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE

TEAM Santa Rosa is partnering with the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce to help rally support for bringing Southwest Airlines to Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport.  The local chambers from Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties were mobilized in this endeavor to attract this world class company to our area.  If Southwest comes to Pensacola, it will provide new jobs and a significant yearly economic impact.

The initiative is highly contingent upon community support and the collection of pledges ensuring that the airline will have reliable business as they would get started as a carrier in our area. 

Pledges were accepted for as little as $10 and no pledges are going to require payment unless Southwest decides to choose Pensacola as a flight destination as a result of this campaign.

The deadline for pledges was September 30, and we are now waiting to hear from Southwest if Pensacola will remain in the running for the bid and what the next steps are to close this deal.
